Aubrey & Jeff
Aubrey and Jeff were married on June 2,2012. The ceremony took place in Theis Park and the reception was held at The Scarritt Grand Ballroom. Aubrey showed her unique style in her vintage gown with a hand picked belt that she added herself. The details and simplicity of this wedding are what made it. Everyone that was there to celebrate their union was captivated by the authentic love that they hold for one another. The one thing that stuck out most to me was the money dance. It was fun and seemed like any other money dance until the end - when they announced that all the money raised was going to the liver cancer foundation in memory of Jeff's mother who died of that very same illness. It gives me goose bumps just writing it. And when most of us {including me} would take the money and use it on our honeymoon, they were thinking of a bigger picture. Jeff and Aubrey, I don't know{inside joke}, I like you guys.
Crystal Bridges HDR
A few weeks ago Ashley & I went to Bentonville, AR ( Walmart HQ ) to do our first Preschool photo shoot. We took portraits of about 125 little ones & actually had a really good time. These kids where angels &; were very well behaved. Hopefully our next Preschool shoot will go just as well!
One of the nights we were there I went to Crystal Bridges and took a few frames. What an amazing museum, both art & structure. This frame below is a HDR image...basically you take at least 2 identical images at different exposures ( 3 Frames in this instance) and merge them all together in Photoshop. This way you get the darkness of the sky but the brightness of the structure.

Josh&Nicole
We had the privilege of doing this engagement shoot for one of our upcoming brides this season. They were a fun and laid back couple. Very easy to shoot and be around. We started out in Parkville and ended up in the West Bottoms. The park were we started the shoot has sentimental value to both of them. We very excited about there upcoming wedding and look forward to working with them again!!!!

Cousins
Our fam got to spend some time in Bentonville, Arkansas this past week. This is one of our new favorite spots to go. My sister, and her family moved there for her husbands new Pastoral position at Bentonville Church of the Nazarene this last January{i could be wrong on the date, I am horrible with dates}. There is a ton of outdoor activities, a wonderful new museum, and our favorite coffee shop Pressroom.
Tiffany & Ripp {Boulevard}

Their wedding was set downtown at Boulevard Brewery
The flowers were done by Ripp's Mother
They both got ready at the Westin
Pictures at the Westin & Union Station
We Had so Much fun and loved every minute of the day with Tiff&Ripp.
Henley is 2
Recently, we had a party for Henley's 2nd birthday and boy was it fun. We invited a few close friends over to help celebrate. Thanks to everyone that came.
Colorado 2011
We went up to the Taylor Park Reservoir Area in Colorado this past October. The weather was beautiful & Henley really loved it up there. Chatwin stayed in the cabin most of the time by the fireplace.
Kristen + Michael
What a beautiful Winter Wedding (55 degrees). Quincy & I were blessed to be able to serve the Knoth & Loney families. Kristen & Michael are one of a kind couple & we can tell that they are going to make an impact in our community. We look forward to our new found friendship & many blessings on your marriage!
Chatwin 6 months {PICGREEN baby 2}
My baby is growing up so fast. He is so amazing and doing new stuff everyday. His favorite thing right now is wrestling with his older brother. Chat-i is such a blessing in our life.
Haverty + 3 months
Haverty Rose ~ There are no words to describe how beautiful you are. I loved-loved-loved this shoot. Maybe it's because I have two boys or maybe because she is our best friends baby. Either way I had a hard time picking the ones to post first, I know I always say this, but i am not sure my husband has taken a bad picture in his life. AND Haverty is the cutest girl ever. Can't wait for her 6 month shoot. Thanks Haver-shams for putting up with us ooh-ing and aw-ing over you. and happy 27th birthday old lady Kourt.
Jessica & David
We had the honor of capturing engagement pics of Jessica and David. They are one of our upcoming weddings for 2012. We are so excited for them and loved getting to spend some one on one time with them. They are two very genuine people and their love for each other was really fun for us to watch {since we are old married+kids}. Here are just a few of our favorites but to be honest I want to post them all, they are so cute. Thanks Jessica and David for letting us invade on your space for a couple of hours :)
Small Business Day = Coffee
Had a meeting with a client and her mother yesterday afternoon at Roasterie Coffee Shop in Leawood. Great peeps btw.
It's a wonderful place to meet with people. There is just enough background noise and people coming in and out, BUT not one of those places that is so crowded you can't find a seat OR you have to wait in line for 10 minutes to get to the front of the line. Need I say more {starbucks} and yes I am a hypocrite - when I can't find a local coffee shop to get my fix I go anywhere {confession - I have been to McDonald's a couple of times- but I was desperate ok}. Now that I got that off my chest, Let me get to my point.
November 26 is the day where we are urged to spend a small amount of money at a local business of our choice, but I have a better idea. Why not think of one thing in our daily life that we buy from a larger mega company and start buying it from a locally owned company. And the up side is you will be doing a small part to help the local economy, and who knows you may fall in love with this new product.
