Best For Last {Page 232}

We have been waiting in anticipation for the Summer/Fall edition of KC Weddings to come out.
 Now unless you are a Bride-To-Be. Friend of, Mother of, you probably don’t give a hootin howl about this BUT we have been waiting.
We got featured on the entire back page of the magazine. Page 232 I do believe.
We still feel like newbies to the industry and look up to so many of our colleagues who have already made a name for themselves. Finally all of our hard work over the past few years is paying off. We have been noticed.

I think some of it has to do with the type of Brides that pick us to capture there day. They have a sort of flare to them. The one that is pictured is Aubrey {and Jeff of course}. We fell for Aubrey the day her and her sister stopped by our booth. So nice, and cute, and loads of great wedding ideas. All of her hard work paid off very recently when her and Jeff tied the knot. That was an amazing wedding BUT the picture that is featured is from their engagement shot.
We like to take a unique approach to engagements, and while I don’t want to give away our little secrets, I will say one work….Quincy. I am one of the most biased people to say this but it’s true. He knocks my socks off with his vision and creativity. Not only that but he knows what he wants to get out of a shoot before ever starting. Very planned and calculated, but also very laid back. He knows how to make people at ease. And he is also very handsome {that is just on a personal note}.
When we decided to start our venture in the Wedding industry we set a couple of guidelines for ourselves. Part of my motivation for doing this was to stay home with my two boys but it has developed into much more than that. IT has become a creative outlet where I feel as though I am doing what was indented for me to do. Quincy, however, has always set himself apart from his peers with his motivation to be something great.  We don’t just want to be good at what we do, or get the shots that the bride and groom want. We want to give people a real and beautiful perspective on who they are and what amazing things they have to offer. Each couple that we photograph has a unique story and relationship. It’s our job to get to know them well enough that who they are comes across in the pictures.
Thanks to the editor, Laura, for writing such a beautiful piece about how the picture was taken. And for seeing something different and unique in the way that we capture peoples love for one another.
Thanks to Aubrey and Jeff for being so cool….I don’t know
Thanks for all the support from our family and friends. Our Journey continues….

  1. Big congratulations, you two! What an honor (that you deserve). Your post describes exactly what sets you apart from other photographers and what makes me LOVE your work. Keep it up! (I know you will) :) So happy for you!
