So you’ve heard that if a bird poops on you it’s supposed to
be good luck….this is the first time that anything like this has ever happened
to us so I have to share.
Every wedding is different dependent on the setting, the bride&
groom, the theme, and everything else that makes each day unique. I happened to
know this groom from college. His Bride is of course just as easy- going and laid
back as he is. When we met for our last meeting the day before their wedding,
she wasn’t stressed at all. The day-of started like any other wedding, we were
following the schedule getting all the necessary shots prior to the bride
putting the dress on. We decided to photograph the dress, out in a courtyard,
just feet from where they were getting ready. When we brought the dress back in
one of the Bridesmaids gasped. We looked and there was BLACK bird poop all down
the side of it. Amanda(the bride) took one look, continued doing her makeup and
just said “soap and water will get it out”. I was feeling rather sick to my
stomach at this point so I ran to get soap and water and with the assistance of
all the bridesmaids we got ALL of the poop off the dress. It was amazing – you couldn’t
even tell it had happened. Amanda showed true character by just brushing it off
like nothing and accepting it for what it was and hoping that it would get
better.
The rest of the wedding day was flawless; with the help of
an amazing videographer-Patrick, two expert coordinators, along with many
others that worked to make the day so amazing for Jonathan & Amanda. Other
than the constant bugs that were crawling up Amanda’s dress, they didn’t have a
care in the world. Their union ceremony was beautiful and touching and the
reception was something straight out of an Anthropology Catalog.
Congrats Jonathan and Amanda! A great day with Bugs and Bird
Poop {and lots of kissing}.

Absolutely Wonderful! So sorry we couldn't be there:( Teresa & Steve
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful...looks so sweet and simple. Just like a beautiful wedding should be. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteAshley & Quincy, These pics are wonderful, as I knew they would be, watching y'all work! Patrick really enjoyed meeting you & working side by side with y'all, too. When he told us the story of the bird poop on the dress & how calm Amanda was, I thought that was so cool. The wedding was great--intimate, relaxed, & happy. I loved getting to help those expert wedding coordinators (good friends), & meeting all the sweet people who came to support Amanda & Jonathan. I can't wait to see more of the wedding pics, & Patrick's video, of course. :) Hope you guys have a great summer, working your magic... Sincerely, Andee Cone
