The one thing that makes brides and grooms {and wedding
photographers} a little nervous is the mention of rain in the forecast for the
wedding day. Meryl & Jared {or as
Quincy likes to call them Jar-ryl} were married this last Saturday at Lake of
the Forest in Bonner Springs. By simply looking at the pictures, you have no
idea how many changes went on this day. The two handled it like pros.
The Ceremony was actually supposed to be an outside wedding
on some acreage that a friend owns. Meryl’s father built this beautiful altar
out of old windows and re-furbished wood that they were to be married under.
Everything was all set to go, and then came the rain. Luckily Meryl called it
earlier that day and they decided to be married at the reception site. They
handled the whole thing with class and grace and never let it get to them.
We darted in and out of the rain grabbing as many pictures
outside as possible. Everyone came together and moved all of the chairs from
the reception hall out to a long porch overlooking the lake. It was even dreamier
than if it were planned. Everything just fell into place {not necessarily where
I put it on the schedule} and they couldn’t have had a more special ceremony
surrounded by family and friends.
Many Blessings on your Marriage
{If you can handle rain on your wedding day you two can
handle anything}
We were proud of the whole family on Sat. as they handled the changes. And in the way they were so supportive of each other.
